Kenny & The Frog

We finally brought a camera out with us while walking Kenny to film what he does when he sees the frog that lives next to our building. We've named him Freddy.

Looking Back: Mobile Explorium - 12/19/11

(These next posts are my way of updating our blog, particularly with posts about our adventures here. Hope you enjoy!)

Christine had free passes to the Mobile Explorium because she was part of her law firm's trivia team at an event there where the team won 2nd place! They had this great exhibit with animals from Australia, and Curtis had to see the kangaroos!

New Orleans!

We went to New Orleans for the first time this weekend, getting there yesterday and getting back today. We had a great time - we stayed in a hotel right outside the French Quarter, and had a ton of fun in a short period of time. We will likely be back there soon, we liked it so much.

We:
- started by going to the Cafe du Monde for beignets and cafe au lait!
- then went to Pat O'Brien's for Hurricanes and the Saints-49ers game (bonus points since the crowd was great and they were giving away hot dogs and chips!)
- we walked through Bourbon Street and found a place to eat
- walked through St Louis square and got a view of the River
- stopped at the hard rock cafe for a t-shirt for Curtis
Outside of Cafe du Monde, waiting in line
Beignets!
Yum.
Cafe au lait! (half coffee half milk)
First (and only for me) Hurricane! Yum.
Harbaugh!
Who Dat Potato Chips - they were giving out at Pat O'Brien's
Yummy French Onion Soup

Looking Back: Christmas Lights at Bellingrath

(These next posts are my way of updating our blog, particularly with posts about our adventures here. Hope you enjoy!)

About an hour from here, there is this large property with a mansion and extensive gardens, Bellingrath Gardens. We were told by many people that we had to go at Christmas to see the lights. So one Sunday night we got bundled up and made the drive over and were quite impressed, it was a fun walk.

Looking Back: Swearing-In

(These next posts are my way of updating our blog, particularly with posts about our adventures here. Hope you enjoy!)

Christine was sworn-in as a licensed attorney in California in this December. With the assistance of attorneys at the office, one of the Federal District Court Judges in Mobile, Kristi DuBose, agreed to swear me in. Even Dad came out to see it, and Curtis and three attorneys from the office also came along.

Kenny was especially excited to see Papi:

- yummy Thanksgiving dinner
- a trip to Orange Beach
- a Stanford-Syracuse basketball watching party
- a brief visit to the botanical gardens on the Mobile Museum property

Here are the pics!
